Episode 72 - Elvira: Mistress of the Dark
Welcome back listeners! We have another spooky episode to get you in the Halloween spirit! On this episode of Not A Bomb, we learn that perseverance and being related to one of the hosts will finally get your request moved to the top of the list. Troy’s daughter, Angelica, joins Not A Bomb to discuss one of her favorite spooky films - Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. The Scream Queen herself deserves a giant show and the gang also invites fan-favorite, John, to give us a little bit of history on Horror Hosts and this fascinating sub-genre of film.
Angelica finally gets her moment in the sun to talk about Elvira and her ability to empower women while providing consistent laughs during the film’s runtime. Brad, on the other hand, gets to display his typical “Bradness” and crap all over somebody else’s favorite film while still exuding tons of charm and charisma. The gang discusses everything from boob jokes, temperamental dogs, feminism, the dangers of buffets, Troy’s first date with his wife, and how to pass a class in college without actually attending the class. Ultimately, they decide if Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is a bomb or another cult classic!
Also, while at Baltimore Comic-Con, Troy found an amazing artist. Do yourself a favor and catch out - Jusscope.com.
Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is directed by James Signorelli and stars Cassandra Peterson, W. Morgan Sheppard, Daniel Greene, Jeff Conway, Susan Kellermann, and Edie McClurg.

Episode 71 - Blair Witch
Welcome back to Not a Bomb Podcast. The podcast has been giving out auditory Halloween candy all Spooktober with our movie selections, but this episode is the full-size Snickers you get from that really cool house down the street. This week, we have an all-star cast!!! Joining Brad and Troy are Sammy from the GGMTC and fan-favorite, Jose. The gang sits down to discuss Adam Wingard’s 2016 film, Blair Witch. The movie is a direct sequel to the 1999 film The Blair Witch Project and stars…..pretty much nobody. Oh, did we mention this is a four person podcast with all your favorite people!
The show has a little bit of everything! A listener tries to stump Brad on Pulp Fiction trivia! Sammy talks about finger tunnels and discusses his love / hate relationship with found footage films. Jose begs Adam Wingard to be his best friend! And Troy tries to herd cats….and isn’t very successful! Somehow the gang is able to talk for over two and a half hours about found footage films and drop a ton of bad jokes along the way.
Blair Witch is directed by Adam Wingard and stars Jamie All McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott, Corbin Reid, Valorie Curry, and Wes Robinson.
