Episode 116 - The Lone Ranger (2013)

Hi-yo podcast, away!

Hey there, kemosabe, and welcome back to another exciting episode of Not A Bomb. This is the podcast where we go back and reexamine some of the biggest cinematic bombs in film history. On this week’s show, we discuss 2013’s America Western - The Lone Ranger. Based on the character of the same name, The Lone Ranger lost Walt Disney roughly $190 million. With a 149 minute runtime, The Lone Ranger attempts to copy the magic found with the Pirates of the Caribbean series and put it in the old west. Most critics hated it, but one Mr. Quentin Taratino found it to be a masterpiece! Surely, he can’t be wrong…also fan-favorite and newly crowned podcast host - Jose, returns to the show.
